There have been a lot of changes happening with ECHO and so the website unfortunately has become a little stale. We've got Bridge Hosting doing some website updates for us; within our limited budget.

You'll see the majority of information has moved or been removed; if you need some old material from the website then please get in touch and we'll see if we can help.

Local Notice Board

Summer 2009

Echo managed to arrange for a local notice board to be put on Yas' shop wall (St Woolos Wine Lodge) at the top of Stow Hill. If you have a local community message you want displaying then call the Echo team or drop into the shop and ask for details.

Gardening Time

Spring 2009

The growing season is upon us again. So start preparing your gardens for the summer and get planting. Whatever your garden, hanging basket or container can sustain its worth entering it into the competition.

Echo in Bloom its not just about the gardening but also the lively presentation evening that every entree is invited to.

Mouse Park photos echo

The Mouse Park - Opening Celebrations

Thursday 26th May 2005

The Mouse Park is now complete and was officially opened on Thursday 26th May 2005 by Newport Mayor, Cllr Ken Critchley. After a short address in which he congratulated all who had been involved in transforming the park he cut a red ribbon held by children from Year 9 at St Woolos Primary School. We were also pleased to welcome Paul Flynn MP, who was impressed by the partnership work and consultation that had gone on.

There were peals of laughter from small children as they enjoyed the new equipment. The excitement grew as the children were joined by Mike Hogan a street entertainer who juggled, walked about on stilts and modelled mice from balloons and held a circus skills workshop. To view Photo Album >>
