partnership

The Stow Hill inner city area was identified by the Welsh Assembly Government as one of the most deprived communities in Wales in terms of housing, employment, education and social mix. Subsequently the Stow Hill Communities First Partnership Board was established in 2002 to address the needs of the Stow Hill Community and to act as a coordinating body to represent the interests of community groups and businesses in the area. You can find out more about the Partnership Board online.

Echo Stow Hill Community Group was formed in May 2002 to represent local interests and enable the community to be directly involved in the decision making. The provision of Community First funds will enable us to begin to tackle some of the problems and ensure that we all have a say in what will be done to improve our area and how the money will be spent.
Partnership enables people to get involved and decisions are, in effect, made by the people who live and work in this area. To find out more about Echo and its activities go to the Community section.
